Most spirits on UK shelves are mass-produced, over-marketed, and stripped of their origin.
Norman Soul is different. We work directly with small, independent producers across South West Normandy, most specifically nearby the Mont Saint Michel, sourcing Calvados, Pear liqueur, and rare fruit liqueurs made the traditional way. No shortcuts. No industrialisation.
In Normandy, making spirits isn’t a trend, it’s a way of life passed down through generations. Family distillers harvest orchards multiple times until the fruit fell from the tree. Time is our friend, hence we age our Calvados brandy and liqueur slowly in French oak barrels, sometimes for decades.
These are bottles you won’t find in supermarkets. They’re made in small quantities, often never leaving France, until now!
Why We Started Norman Soul
Norman Soul started with a simple idea, that some of the best spirits in the world are the ones you’ve never heard of.
After discovering small producers in Normandy, we realised how much incredible craft never makes it beyond local regions.
We created Norman Soul to change that, to bring these bottles, these stories, and this culture to the UK. We source from the best small producers in Normandy, those focused on traditional production methods and using quality ingredients to share with our client base a genuinely authentic French Apple and Pear spirit. We import in small quantities and once a batch sells out, it’s gone.
No restocks. No mass production. Just the next discovery.
